Glass Gilding

Join Paul Jordan from Australia and Jeff Harvey from NZ are creating a glass panel project that is based on the Letterheads logo that will been screenprinted to the glass panel ready for colour and gilding.

Apprentice Project
For apprentices attending this year’s Letterheads meet Christchurch’s Paul Walters will be conducting a panel based project that brings a new perspective to the skills required to complete an apprenticeship.

Returning after a popular presence at the 2016 Letterheads meet is calligrapher Kate Hursthouse. Kate is known as an artist and designer specialising in calligraphy, lettering, illustration and typography.

Heraldic Art
Join Roger Barnes, New Zealand’s foremost heraldic artist, in learning the nuances of this most ancient of arts and create your own interpretations as a take home project.

Air Brushing
Three of Australasia’s best airbrush artists will be on hand to provide hints, tips and guidance to budding airbrush artists.

Letters and Effects
America, Australia and New Zealand provide lettering, script and shading effect lettering tutorship. Join Jeff Marshall and Maurice Ireland for some unique tech tips.

Pin striping
Join Australia’s Ian Stewart-Koster and NZ’s Murray Wilson in a pin striping master class. See demonstrations and then create your own project.

Every Full and Apprentice registrant will receive a special project to assemble and embellish/paint/strip/gild/spray etc., etc., (you get the idea) to complete during Letterheads or to take home and assemble at a later date.

Apart from the entertainment your fellow Letterheads are bound to provide, Saturday night will see Danny and the Destroyed playing in the main room of the sign shop so make a point of bringing your dancing shoes for some rock and covers music.
